Our Story
From Enterprise R&D to Production Infrastructure
Interweave originated from the Enterprise Zero-Knowledge Applied Research & Development team at ConsenSys Mesh. We spent years conducting pilots applying privacy-preserving technologies for Fortune 500 companies—learning what enterprises actually need to trust cross-company automation.
Our team co-developed the Baseline Protocol, an industry standard for using zero-knowledge proofs in enterprise workflows, in collaboration with Microsoft and EY. When we saw AI agents transforming enterprise operations—but stalling at company boundaries—we knew the infrastructure we'd been building was exactly what the market needed.
In 2024, we spun out to build Interweave: production infrastructure for the autonomous commerce era.

Dr. Andreas Freund
CO-FOUNDER & CTO
PhD in Theoretical Physics. Co-architected the Baseline Protocol standard and brings 30+ years of enterprise technology experience, including a decade in blockchain and zero-knowledge systems. Teaches Web3 development at Duke University.
